About the event

Qualification Process

Athletes will be sorted into either Junior Varsity or Varsity Championships.

Time: 11:00am JV Championships

2:00pm Varsity Championships

 

Varsity Section: The top 12 throwers, boys and girls, in the state based on their best mark in any 2026 sanctioned meet as of June 1, 2026 will qualify for the championships section.

 

The winner of the JV section will be added to the championship section. The top 8 receive all-state medals. The top 3 receive trophies.

 

JV section: Athletes ranked 13-28 (boys and girls) on the list will compete in the JV section of the meet. This section will receive 3 throws.

 

Entry information: The IHSHA will monitor results on athletic.net and milesplit.com, but those interested in participating in the meet must enter themselves on the IHSHA State Championship athletic.net championship page
